That is the most badass Magikarp I've ever seen. Before today, the adjective badass would never have even come close to applying to a Magikarp, unless I was talking about how bad it got its ass kicked.
For some reason, I've always been one to be loyal to a franchise or series, and so I do enjoy the newer games (though I still haven't gotten my hands on Gen V) but of course, I will always prefer the Good Ol' Days. I remember being moved, actually moved, by the Sugimori art of the original 150.
I enjoy the newer games, yes, but I've never managed to learn the pokemon after Gen II the way I did the ones during. And that's troublesome for gen V because until you get passed the end, you don't see ANY pokemon from the previous generations.
